Shady trees

I created this using acrylics on stretched canvas.

Facial Recognition by FaceBook and iPhone

One of my favorite things is when my iPhone or Facebook closes in around a face in one of my paintings.   It’s fun to fool the computer to recognize a person that doesn’t actually exist.  That aside, it must be some really impressive software to have a computer recognize a face.  We have come a long way from ones and zeros.  Anyway, I find it really nifty when a face in a painting is recognized by a computer.   If the system started suggesting names that were a close match, that would be really “out there”.

Waterfalls & Bridges

This waterfall that I saw included a bridge in the middle.  But, I decided that the bridge distracted from the water so I only painted the trees and the water.  When you are looking at a nice waterfall, who wants it interrupted by a man-made bridge?

On the other hand, I do like to make paintings of bridges too.  This bridge on the left below is shown at night and the bridge on the right is from Bruges, Belgium.

I created these paintings with acrylic paints on stretched canvas.  I hope they bring you some peace and relaxation.   Have a great week.
