After getting the sky just right you can work on a field of grass and some mountains in the distance. I don’t often use a fan brush (shown below) but it works well for tall flowers. I find that fan brushes are great at times for creating trees but I don’t think they are ideal for making multiple lines. The reason is that the brush doesn’t hold much paint and then trying return to the same place to enhance the leaves rarely produces the desired effect.
I created these fields and mountains using acrylics and stretched canvas. I hope you enjoy these paintings bring up some fond memories for you.
