If you are going to ship stolen art, please be sure to assess the value at something realistic. This Picasso shown below was recovered because the person shipping tried to go under the radar by declaring a value of only $37.
It was painted in 1911 and is titled “La Coiffeuse” (The Hair Dresser). I see signs of potential nautical images and maybe an eye but I don’t see a hair dresser. I guess that I need a course in art interpretation.
It’s worth well over $2.5 million and should be headed back to the museum that it was stolen from soon.
